No, because service lines, water heaters, heating & cooling systems typically fail through normal use, and this type of failure is not covered under homeowners insurance.

Specific details are in the service agreement you will receive upon enrolling. However, some of the general things that aren’t protected in our Total Line Protection are: low pressure and clogs in non-leaking lines; detached structures; clearing blockages; and pre-existing conditions such as roots prior to enrollment or within the first 180 days after enrollment. Some of the things that aren’t protected by our Core Protection are: heat exchanger on the furnace; and replacement of refrigerant, evaporator coil, condenser coil, and compressor in an air conditioning unit.
Call the UtilityShield service center to request service at 800-581-8604. A qualified contractor will contact you — usually within 12 hours — to schedule repairs provided under your protection plan.
You must first get yourself and others out of the house and stay a safe distance away. Do not operate electrical equipment or your phone inside your home. Call your gas utility from an outside phone and report a gas emergency. Once your gas utility has made your home safe to reenter, call us to request service at 800-581-8604
